SLC Solicitors is an award winning niche commercial law firm, serving the property management sector.

SLC offers legal services for debt recovery, leasehold enfranchisement, right to manage, lease variation and extensions, Section 20 consultation guidance, licences and much more.

We are specialist property lawyers. We only act within the property management sector so you can be assured our knowledge is second to none.

The firm was founded in 2006 by Neil Shearing who acted as Principal Solicitor until March 2017 when SLC became part of the Metamorph Law Group.

Our Ethos: Working in Partnership

Law firms have a reputation of being high-cost to clients. From the offset, SLC wanted to support those who had entrusted us with their business and ensure that the costs we charge are reasonable, transparent and proportionate.

The property management ethos of SLC is to work as an extension to our clients, assisting with the management of an apartment block and helping our client wherever necessary, be that the managing agent, the freeholder, the developer or the individual directors of a residents management company. We are reliable and results driven and committed to explaining complex issues without legal jargon.

SLC has particular expertise relating to debt recovery within the residential and commercial property sectors and we understand that a business suffering from bad and doubtful debts may not wish to make matters worse by increasing their losses with legal costs. SLC carry out a review at the outset to establish whether costs are recoverable from the defaulting tenant giving you peace of mind. We conduct a review prior to issuing proceedings and, if a case is then defended, we advise on the merits of any defence raised so that you always know what any action will costs and you don’t take unnecessary risks with costs.

We understand cash flow is critical to the management of any apartment block and we appreciate that there are rarely any legitimate grounds for non-payment of service charges within a block that is managed the right way. We understand that the need for a quick and efficient service is paramount and we work hard each and every day to ensure our client receives the best service from SLC.
